The Werribee Park Mansion Hotel

Hospitality

This RAIA award-winning interior design was completed after several years of negotiations with Heritage Victoria, turning the dour 1920s seminary into a five-star boutique hotel. With numerous complex heritage restrictions, the challenge was to transform monastic severity into luxury, making a feature of the celestial high windows in the hallways to bring in dappled light, carefully designing the austere priests’ cells to give the illusion of space, and at all times being historically sensitive, with a contemporary lens.
