This project began with a bespoke design-based on the client’s lifestyle and sizable art collection. Working within a heritage overlay to ingeniously bring in light and space, borrowing from Le Corbusier’s slotted windows, a large lightwell was designed to illuminate the centre of the building. Thus, providing abundant places to hang and view the collection, and finally selecting contemporary furniture, and understated sophisticated finishes to create a living space which was both a light-filled gallery and luxurious family home.
